A Nice Day

We have been having temperatures in the 30's (90's in Fahrenheit). When it gets that high it is just too hot to go outside for long periods of time. I don't know if I've ever mentioned that there is a shortage of ozone around here, so the UV radiation is pretty intense. I was reading a pamphlet in a doctor's office a while ago that said during this time of year you should have some sort of protection from the sun (hats, sunscreen, etc) if you are planning on being outside for more than a couple of MINUTES. That is why in a lot of our outside pictures Liam and Jonas have on those full brimmed hats. I didn't realize any of this until we had been here for a while. We went to a park and out of the 15 or so kids there, Liam and Jonas were the only ones without their hats on! I am sure all of the mom's were thinking what a bad mom I was!

Friday was going to be a really nice day at 25 degrees (77 F) and I didn't have to be to work until the afternoon so we thought we'd make the best of it. Especially since the following week the temps are back up in the 30's. I took the boys in the car and Nate rode his bike and we met up at a nice park right on the lake. Here are a few pictures from our day.

90 degrees? That's insane. Sure a difference from this Rexburg weather huh?? I'm glad you found out about the hat thing.

Love the pictures! The boys are so cute in their hats!
Have you tried the spray-on sunblock? That stuff is AMAZING! I imagine it would make life much easier if your kids don't like holding still too.

That last picture brought back awesome memories! There was a little park in Fairfield my Mom used to take me to with one of those red-webbed rope things. I loved it! :)
