Liam and I had a very deep conversation at about 8 this morning. It started out something like this:
Liam: Mom, I don't want to die.
Me: Uhhh... You don't have to worry about that, Bud.
Liam: But I'm scared to die. What will happen to me?
HE IS 4 YEARS OLD!!
The next 20 minutes were spent with me explaining The Plan to him while tears ran down his face. Eventually I figured out that he had a bad dream the night before. I can't imagine what kind of conversations we have in store for us in the near future!

OH my goodness that's so sad, but you're such a good mom to tell him everything and make him feel all better! And I can't believe you have a four year old child!
AWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! That is so sad! But dreams will be dreams...I had a horrible one the other night where we were on a train and I happened to be at the front and I saw ahead that the tracks ended (and we were on a bridge over water); before I could even shout out that we were going to fall the train went of the edge and I thought "oh my God. This is really it." Usually you wake up right before you 'hit' but in my dream we were under water and everybody was trying to get out. It was horrible.
And...we have no power over having these stupid dreams! So, I think it's great that you were honest and were able to really talk about it with him.
No more scary dreams for Liam or me!!! (or anybody else!)
Wow... hopefully the memory of the dream won't make it hard for him to sleep now!
