The biggest spider I have ever seen in my whole life (outside of a pet store). It was seriously as big as Jonas hand although it doesn't look it here. I can't believe I was able to calmly take a picture of it before Nate smashed it. I just wish I was calm enough to put something next to it so you could really tell how big it was and maybe turn off the flash! (are you still with me Carol?)

Eww! I can't believe you told me to look at your post! Even Joan didn't actually post a picture of a spider! I scrolled down the second I saw what was in the picture! Gross!! I can't believe you took a picture. It makes me shiver a bit, ugh.
BOOOOO you smashed it!!!!! Poor spider!!
They creep me out, actually, but I still never have the heart to squash 'em. I try to throw them outside or something.
Speaking of, I bet you're going to find LOTS of critters there! You should check out What's That Bug? It's a NEAT NEAT site!!
I LOVE the blog and thank you for telling me about it! Hooray, now I can read all about your adventures and comment! I LOVE blogs! :D Big hugs, Sarah
Crazy!! I can't believe how big that spider is! I've loved looking at your blog. First of all, where do you get the digital papers from for the backgroud? They are so cute! And, second of all, what are you doing in Australia?!? I hope you're having fun there. It sure seems that you are. I loved the post with the pictures of your boys at the same ages. Very cute!
Sarah: you wouldn't believe how many spiders we find in our house daily. With so many poisonous ones around here we kill them all just to be safe...well, I make Nate kill them most of the time. We're so mean, I know! I figure better them than us!
Mandi: I found the background from http://www.leeloublogs.blogspot.com/. We are in Australia for school. Nate just started a PhD program here in June.
Yikes! That would have freaked me out as well. Then again I would freaked out & then take a picture too! LOL Amazingly how a blog changes you!
Well, he would be a great Halloween visitor. Do they celebrate Halloween in Australia?
Okay, if they're poisonous...well, I can understand that. :)
